The novel The Strange Case of Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde and the film Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde have employed various styles, settings, characterisation techniques, themes and plots to create two completely different stories that also harbour many similarities. These differences are evidence of how literature is shaped for the world it exists in.
